B-LA-M x super bien! Presents:

A Dorado 806 presentation of four 5ft x 5ft monochromatic contemporary pieces using solar printing and hand-dyeing processes with turmeric, marigold, avocado, paint, etc. Each piece has been exposed to California’s weather and will continue to evolve throughout its tenure in Berlin. The theme is a literal play on words that seeks to redefine the boundaries between serious art and playful commentary, suspended in a delicate balance, much like the artworks themselves. Taken as literal but also invites viewers to reflect on what Rock-bottom stage means for them - whether it be personally, politically, or in socioeconomic form - the idea is to find common ground and solidarity in the matter but with the artwork in focus represents uplifting message to ambitiously release the viewer from the weight of the world!

We are excited to announce that Dorado 806 Project: ‘Rock Bottom’, will be exhibiting off-site as part of ‘Extroverted space’ show at super bien! Berlin.

The exhibition in the transparent greenhouse reflects the view inwards through works that “look” outwards and expand into the outside space. The space, normally a protective container for art, is used in a contradictory way by turning the glass walls into a membrane that connects inside and outside. Without varying theme, 3 very different installations come together in the working process on site in an overall structure which marks the beginning of an encounter and mutual perception in friendship and presents the richness and diversity of artistic practice with our partner spaces.

Exhibition Dates: 30.06 - 21.07.2024
Exhibition Opening Reception: 30.06.2024 7PM
Place: super bien! Berlin - Schwedter Str. 232, D-10435 Berlin
