In the last two years, for reasons that are probably obvious, my poetry has shifted to embody the tidal wave that is becoming a new mother. A hero's journey that no one else can see. When I reflect on the parts of me revealed in this season, nothing better describes it than as an ancient, terrifying magic.

The ability to live sleeplessly for years? To freeze time and surrender all expectations? To offer my body and the contents of my mind to another human? And soften into primal feminine vibrations? Immediately, and I mean within seconds, I understood why whole societies are built to suppress a woman's power. Once we step over this threshold, it's a power we get to touch in the flesh. My poetry for this show is meant as a rally cry to welcome all witches, especially the mothering kind, to the 3 AM fire dance.
