ARTIST STATEMENT
The cyanotype triptych on sheer fabric brings Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos—the three Fates—into a vivid, layered manifestation of destiny and the seasons. Each life-size figure represents a distinct phase: beginning, duration, and end, capturing the ancient cycle of life and death, the pulse of seasonal change, and the elemental dance between light and dark, growth and decay. The translucent fabric shifts with the light, inviting viewers into a shared, reflective space that dissolves boundaries between human experience and deeper, more-than-human realms.
The piece is a meditation on the pause within time’s continuum, a suspension that invites observance rather than action. The fleeting tones and the fabric’s ephemeral quality embody the cyclical nature of time, letting each figure hover in that paradox of permanence and transience, as if caught in an eternal, transient breath.
