Lauren sees art as a means of accessing and expressing deeper layers of the psyche. It's research, experimentation and play. It's a lens for experience to be filtered through. It's an exchange between self and the beyond. Nature, metaphysics and mythology are recurring subjects in her imagery. She likes to think of her work as a dialogue between the land and the stars, examining the place of the human mind and spirit somewhere in between.
